Working with CNPI

The Community News Production Institute is always interested in hearing from groups whose members might want to join our trainings. We focus on New York City groups serving low wage workers and immigrants. We will be starting a new round of trainings later this year.

While we have limited resources, our trainings are free to the members and their organizations. If a partner organization is well-resourced, we ask that they consider purchasing a minidisc recorder and microphone for use by their members, a cost of about $300. But don't let that put you off! It's not a requirement of working with us.
