Following the killing of an Ecuadorian immigrant, Jose Sucuzhanay in December 2008, several grassroots organizations joined efforts to denounce hate-crimes in Brooklyn.
Recently, GLOBE (Gays and Lesbians of Bushwick Empowered) held a rally in Bushwick to show supports for all victims of heinous crimes including gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgendered people. CNPI reporter, Zoilo Blas of Make The Road By Walking was there to speak with GLOBE organizer, Karina Claudio.
