AIM: Learn Basic Editing Skills Abduli and I filled in for KAt at Canarsie.  Ten students showed up.  Although most of them were on time, Rachel spoke to them about being on time always and applying school lateness policy in the class. Rachel introduced both Abduli and I.  We showed them how to upload sound into Adobe.  We then split the class into two (Abduli worked with 5, I worked the other 5).  We showed them the basic including how to open a file, how to cut, delete, play and stop, pasting to new track.  My group went through one interview and selected clips from it. The class was lots of fun.  The group is very energetic, fun, funny.  One girl in particular, Jovani??, kept bothering her little sister.  But once I got her editing, she was cool.  She said she really enjoyed editing.  It was funny because Jovani and her sister recording themselves singing and  freestyling and when we opened their files, they were all (including themselves) laughing.  In one of the recordings, one student instead of saying "testing", said "testicles" and so everyone started laughing about that and Rachel had to remind everyone that the recorders should be used responsibility and respectfully. Also, I left the copy of Adobe with Rachel.  We were unable to upload the program into their laptops because they need a special code to install programs.  She will try to get it by next week.
