Digital Expansion Fellowship (DEF), is offered to our outstanding youth leaders who have been through the multiple levels of Radio Rootz programming to further develop their leadership skills. This fellowship provides a comprehensive look at media and communication policy as the youth fellows explore key issues that affect the way we communicate over the Internet.

At PPH we believe that all of us who are journalists should understand and be active in policy issues that govern our industry. We believe that a comprehensive journalism training should include education on media and communications policy and the DEF fellows are our inaugural class of junior journalists who will be policy-savvy!
