People's Production House media trainings are for individuals and organizations that want to build their media capacity. Our staff of working journalists, communications professionals and campaign coordinators have the broad range of skills and a distinct social justice frame to give you the tools you need to build your message and have your voices heard.

Trainings are targeted to the needs of individuals and organizations and include the following:

  • Meet and learn from journalists in the field.
  • Learn best practices and broadcast quality radio recording and production techniques.
  • Get tips on equipment and software.
  • Strategy on what kind of media to use for your campaign or project.

Who Can Use Media Trainings

If you are a community organizer and have grown tired of poor media coverage around the issues that are important to you, or a student and your school isn't giving you the experience in journalism you need, or a print reporter looking to expand on your skills, then our trainings are for you.

What You Can Do With Radio

Our radio reporting trainings are designed to give you the skills and experience you need to report on the issues that matter to you in a medium that makes an impact and reaches a wide audience. We provide extensive training on how to use recording equipment and editing software, and show you how to effectively write scripts for radio journalism.

After our training you will be able to use audio recording and editing equipment, enhance the impact of your reporting, and share your stories over the radio waves or the Internet.

If you would like to receive more information on what kind of training would work for you, your staff, or your organization, please contact us.
